The first online training of the REMORA Online Training Program 2026 has been successfully completed. Over two intensive days, researchers and research support professionals from the three REMORA beneficiary institutions – CITEB, OKEANOS, and OOM – and from other R&I organisations from Dos Açores, La Reunion and Madeira, came together online to strengthen their understanding of the Horizon Europe framework and develop practical skills for proposal development within the European Commission funding landscape.
A structured and practical programme
The training was delivered by Dr. Nikolaos Floratos, a recognised expert in European research funding, whose interactive approach and in-depth knowledge of the Horizon Europe ecosystem were highly appreciated by participants. The two-day session was built around four core objectives:
- Strengthening participants’ strategic mindset for navigating Horizon Europe.
- Learning how to structure competitive and evaluator-friendly proposals.
- Gaining practical tools covering the full proposal development cycle, from concept to submission.
- Understanding what makes a real difference in the eyes of evaluators.
Participants engaged actively throughout the sessions, sharing their institutional contexts and working through concrete examples drawn from the current Horizon Europe Work Programme.
